Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board

The ACT (American College Testing) is a standardized test used for college
admissions in the United States. It assesses high school students’ academic
readiness for college by measuring their knowledge and skills in English,
mathematics, reading, and science reasoning. The test also includes an
optional writing section. The ACT is scored on a scale of 1 to 36, with each
section scored individually and then averaged for a composite score. Many
colleges and universities in the US accept ACT scores as part of their
admissions process, alongside other factors like GPA and extracurricular
activities.
